The biker bar is now complete and turned in. I will admit I had the hardest time with this project. I never was able to connect with the program. I think it had a lot to do with the amount of time given on it, but even more to do with just getting done with a major project. Not to mention it was the week before spring break.
For my design I wanted to keep it very simplistic and plausible for Gary to do. I changed out the front facade to a store front curtain wall allowing for natural light to pour inside. I also changed out the garage doors with a glass garage doors to allow for a modern look and again to bring in the natural lighting. For the interior I played with the idea of wind in the hair as you ride a motorcycle. I proposed wood pieces that would be fixed, but would look as if it the wind was blowing through the hair during the motorcycle ride. In this abstract way I was able to create a metaphor to work with the building.
TIME FOR SPRING BREAK!!!
